they have to go wherever they are posted,cellphones/mobile phones etc are banned, leave can be cancelled at short notice, of course it can be dangerous its the army they have very little leave, its disciplined as you would expect...

compulsory military service:
people who is not graduated from 4 years university education has to complete 15 months.
people who graduated from 4 years university education has to complete 12 months.(goverment gives high position and salary.and u can get out of service after 17.00,weekends are free)(these people are chosen by goverment if they need any profession)
people who graduated from 4 years university education has to complete 6 months(no high position and not salary.and u cant get out of service)(these people are chosen by goverment)

Quoting geniuda: Hello,
my honey is currently serving the ARMY. He has to do 155 days (a little more than 5 months) because he attended University. He has done 11 days already and he has had the opportunity to call me a couple of times. According to him, the place where he is at is not in good conditions, meals are not good, they have to wake up very early and to go through rough work, but of course, what else can you expect at the ARMY, especially if you are not used to this lifestyle? hehe :-S . The good thing and what it recomforts him is that he will get used to it soon
have a great one!! |
i know a turkish friend who is serving army for 5 months too.
i wish them all luck.
