Quoting TeresaJana: "My heart has been stolen."
maybe: Kalbim çalmadı |
Leaving the "ma"+"di" in makes it "wasn't stolen".
"Kalbim çaldı" My heart was stolen, (Correction, see Angel Friers post next, should be "çaldındi")
(There can be verbal nouns with such as "Kalbim çalması"=the stealing of my heart. The distinquishing between negative verbs and verbal is a whole other complicated subject)

Quoting dagdelen: "Why do i fall in love so easily but find it so difficult to fall out of love? My heart has been stolen." |
Niçin çok kolayca aşık oluyorum? Fakat aşkı bırakmak için onu bulmak çok zor. Kalbim çalındı(here was used a passive voice).

i stole - çaldım
i was stolen - çalındım. When any verbs becomes passive, this takes "il -ıl" suffixes. I am not a good grammar teacher I just tried to explain this

if çaldındı is: it was stolen
and then çalındım is: I was stolen
what would be: çalındın? would it not also be he/she/it was stolen?
im more confused now. hehe
