CORRECT ENGLISH:

"You're not busy, no tourists, so can we go out on the bike, and maybe a boat trip?"

It really bugs me that native English people demand translations in perfect Turkish and yet cannot even be bothered to ensure that their English is correct.

How can you expect a native Turk to understand what you are saying if you don't even bother to ensure your message is correct ?

Well, most of the translators are from Turkey, and English is not THEIR native language, but their grammar and spelling is superior to yours.

"I am from Birmingham" is an excuse? lol

We dont even have grammar schools where I live - OK OK maybe I am picking on YOU, but it makes my blood boil when I see nearly every English girl posting with worse grammar and spelling than "foreign" classmates here.

I really wonder what the hell they teach in schools now

Well, I hope it doesn't bother you that nasty people like me will judge you as illiterate throughout your life.

I hope "not being interested in school" was worth it!!!

You want someone to correct your posts, then someone else to translate them?

Luckily Sui's English is good... somehow he managed lol

Well I was not interested in school sometimes but knew I had to do well. I am now trying to learn Arabic as well as my other studies to please not only my father and his side of the family but I know I would like to myself communicate in both Arabic and English. So if you think speaking in one language is hard (which is your own) then try and speaking in two. Which is what the people do when trying to translate your sentence.
I am not being harsh here so if I sound it I do not mean to but try and use a little grammar. That way more people may be able to help you

Bella, I hope you are not modeling this attitude against education to your children.

Here is a link that may help you with some punctuation problems....

I don't think you are being too harsh. Some people have the opportunity to get a good education but don't take full advantage of it while others struggle in poor countries to learn English. I really admire the people that take the time to educate themselves and try to improve their situation.

OK Ok OK ..

Forget arguments about schooling, education, snobbery etc etc

I often see translation requests that have 30 people look at them and no one translate it. WHY? Because the English grammar wasn't clear and a non-native speaker of English wasn't sure exactly which tense was wrong, and didn't want to make a mistake.

Or .. where the excellent Turkish translator had to make a guess, and probably made the wrong choice. Only because I am a native English speaker can I see that.

SO IF YOU WANT A GOOD, ACCURATE, QUICK TRANSLATION FROM ALL THE WONDERFUL TURKS HERE WHO ARE GIVING THEIR TIME AND EXPERTISE TO YOU FOR FREE DO THEM A FAVOUR, AND MAKE IT EASIER. Why should they have to sit and think about a sentence for 2 mins because you couldn't be bothered to sit and think for 2 seconds?

This isn't a complaint aimed just Bella: sadly there are many friends in this class who are in the same boat!

Well done, my beer-loving friend! I just read the last few, and assumed that it had been translated!

Eğer turist yoksa ve yoğun değilsen motorsikletle gezebilir miyiz, ve belki yat gezisi yapabilir miyiz?

Note: I assume bike meant motorbike. If it is normal cycle, change motorsikletle to bisikletle.
