Unfortunately, it has created bad feeling towards Islam in the UK. Although we know there are extreme Islamic states, unfortunately the countries involved ALWAYS justify their actions in the name of Islam - so people tend to associate ALL muslims with such actions.

I don't know of any other religion that does this. For example, as a country, our bad "deeds" are the fault of the "British" or "the west" but never as "Christians"!!

It appears the the teacher made it home safe and sound after a pardon from the president of Sudan.....I just can't imagine the hell this poor woman was put thru for such a ridiculous reason.

Because we distinguish our government from our religion. As many mistakes as the US has made.....I don't think anyone in the government has claimed that the bible told us to do it. We are just bed Amerikans....plain and simple.

I have to admit that UK muslims were among the first to condemn the action in Sudan and have supported her release.

Two of our muslim peers were able to secure her release.

Certainly this is the feeling of all muslims here too, this situation need not punished, the God knows intentions

I remembered this topic as I was buying a teddy bear for my niece for x-mas. Any suggestions on names?

It's ok, but don't say it too much or too loud.
