Quoting Elisabeth: Sure, Femme's opinions can be harsh, however....saying that NOBODY wants her here is unfair and simply not true. Some of us enjoy raw honesty that does not hide behind propriety. |
Maybe you do, but I find her posts insulting, disruptive, slanderous and disrespectful. It seems her major joy in being here is to insult, inflame hatred, demean and slander whole groups of people here.
I find honesty nice, but there is such a thing as decorum and good manners. I for one don't find hate speech in anyway refreshing.

Dear Alameda, you usually agree with Vineyards and he said that he always like Foamy. Will you also reconsider...?
Quoting vineyards: I have always liked Aenigma, Catwoman, Femme Fatal, Roswitha, Alameda and everyone else here; I just get mad at them sometimes and it is only temporary.... |

I agree with freedom of opinion obviously, but it indeed seems as if some people here are just 'misusing' this freedom. That you give your opinion does not mean that you have to insult others with it.
I also don't think you should use something completely different from this discussion to attack someone else (like saying that someone gave up studying Turkish very early, what has that to do with this discussion at all? Is your Turkish any better femme?...)

just thought so: why am i missing alameda's two pennies?
alameda, you (and many others) tried to discredit me by drawing me into black colors. i remember how you advised vineyards not to speak to me.
im happy that theres a freedom in USA (the country you hate but still live there) and i can speak my mind on the website based there.
how im happy that im free, that i dont need to flatter anyone.
as for turkish hospitality: they are hospitable to you when you flatter them, but as soon as you stop flattering and start criticising they want to kick you out.

I think in the end, forget the idea that TC will be dull without her, but where is the tolerance, where is the freedom of speech?
I dont agree with what she says about eastern cultures, palestine-israel confilict, Iraq etc. But, in the end, she is just expressing her opinion!! And nothing is wrong with it at all..
Well, she is argumentative, she is harsh, she knows how to write. But she is just telling us what she really thinks!!
I am not going to say I like her ideas but she deserves respect.
And for the Turks who think, femme insults Turkishness, please guys.. Dont you have any ideas to defend your pride, your country? If your turkishness is that weak, let it be crushed!! It deserves to be crushed..
