I think in the end, forget the idea that TC will be dull without her, but where is the tolerance, where is the freedom of speech?
I dont agree with what she says about eastern cultures, palestine-israel confilict, Iraq etc. But, in the end, she is just expressing her opinion!! And nothing is wrong with it at all..
Well, she is argumentative, she is harsh, she knows how to write. But she is just telling us what she really thinks!!
I am not going to say I like her ideas but she deserves respect.
And for the Turks who think, femme insults Turkishness, please guys.. Dont you have any ideas to defend your pride, your country? If your turkishness is that weak, let it be crushed!! It deserves to be crushed..

I also don't think you should use something completely different from this discussion to attack someone else (like saying that someone gave up studying Turkish very early, what has that to do with this discussion at all? Is your Turkish any better femme?...)

Chantal, I think you misunderstood that part. I think what was meant was that Dilara said she'd stop learning Turkish because SunFlowerSeed said it's a "junk and crap language" (even though he was referring to the fact that you can add random words together and make a meaningful word out of it in Turkish) and foamy said that Dilara's will to learn was weak.

Dear Prym, please write in English. Thank you.

http://www.turkishclass.com/TurkishClassRulesAndTerms.php

Who is following these rules? I am sorry I won't write in English or translate it. JUST FOR THİS TOPİC. I am sure that woman understand me very well and my message.

8. Do not post vulgar, hateful, threatening, derogatory, racist or obscene comments on this site. Any such content will be deleted. The user account of the author of such messages may also be deleted if it repeats.

9. Avoid personal disputes and arguments. Personal correspondence postings should be kept at a minimum. Personal attacks or insults directed towards other users will not be tolerated. Basically if you don't have anything nice to say then just don't say it all. If somebody posts an insulting comment do not reply to it. It will only result in starting a flame-war. Instead, send a Private Message to one of the forum moderators and they will take care of it.

10. Any discussion on politics or religion and religious matters is strictly prohibited.

Isn't it the same tactics you use to sweep your way?

Why is is so important to obey the rule about not writing turkish? This site is called turkishclass. The other rules pointed out a couple of posts ago are much more important and are violated every day

Yes, personal attacks are prohibited. It is different then criticism of Turkish nationalism though... don't you think?
Admin allows discussions on politics as long as they don't develop into arguments, but are merely a civilized exchange of ideas.
