Perhaps it's a matter of social acceptance. Those usually older guys were most probably raised in a way that they think women, especially foreigners, like that kind of aggressive sexual appeal.Is it revolting? Sure, but apparently they think otherwise.

All the stories remind me of walking around Istanbul everyday. Men have attempted to touch me, ask me how much...blah blah blah...I am not blond!
I know for a fact that they wouldn't try this type of stuff with a Turkish woman.
I am a lover of peace but if a man touches me in Turkey... he gets me to move a bit closer and standing nose to nose to them...looking right in their eye...i tell them in my calmest you wanna piece of me buddy voice and the sweetest smile i can muster up.."Go ahead try that again sweetie!"
For some reason none of them do!
Not recommended for the faint of heart or short women either. It's lovely to see the look of shock and fear in their eyes when i let them know that i am NOT their 'victim' today!!!!!
Some of my male friends say i could get into big trouble that way. But i haven't to date. Like i said not recommended for the faint!

Hahaha, this is perfect! That's exactly how all women should be. I am not very tall, but I don't think I could resist not beating up a guy who would touch me. I'd love to see him beaten up by others as well. Time he should learn a lesson!

Yes, not many can attempt and get away with this tactic. I have a friend in NYC who was walking down the street when a man grabbed and fondeled her breasts. Nonplussed, she manuvered around and ambushed him ,grabbing his private parts...then laughed belittling her "discovery". The man red faced slunk away.
One time on the subway a guy was pressing sitting with his leggs wide open and pressing his thighs against mine, I slapped him hard on the upper thigh and told him to close his $#@ leggs. He was so shocked he quickly closed his leggs. I guess he must have thought I was crazy. Sometimes you have had enough!
In this type of tactic, one has to surmise the surroundings and determine if this tactic can work in the particular situation. On an empty subway car or side street, I would not try this, but I would not get in an empty subway car or go down a secluded side street if at all possible.
