Promotes Turkey?
Where exactly does it say it is here to "promote Turkey"?

doesn't introducing Turkish language promote Turkey? Other than teaching language what does this site do anyway? doesn't it just do that? promote Turkey? Pictures of Turkey, foods of Turkey, music of Turkey, poets and poetry of Turkey etc... or maybe you're here for a different reason... lol lol lol

if you think this site doesn't promote Turkey, then the admins and mods should put more effort on the language sections. It has long been promised that they would put up some sort of exercises so it would be easier for members to practice the Turkish language... it's been about 2 months i think... and the exercise pages are nowhere to be found...

Canimzzzzzzzzzz.... calm down, it is my web site, so I will be an admin here, ok? If you have problems with what I say, you are free to debate, give facts, state your ideas... etc, etc. (kind of like it is done on other web sites, you know....?). Oh, don't worry - nobody will change their opinion about Turkey from reading my posts... on top of that, I am going to be very busy soon, so you won't see much of me anyway.

I do not post here as a representative of Turkey, or write and post articles that are given as factual, or anything like that. I use the forum like a regular user - I don't delete my own posts and for the most part I don't delete other people's posts either. Usually I leave it to moderators. When I delete posts, only the ones that contain personal attacks are deleted. There used to be some more mess here some time ago (probably the time Uykusuz is referring to and although I don't remember the case he's talking about, he probably has a good point), but I think we sorted things out now.

Anyway... I don't think I say anything bad about Turkey as a whole. We are discussing some issues and I state my opinions about those, that is not the same as judging the whole country.
And... we are working on the language parts. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me!

Oh and and if you wish there were some changes on the web site (other then me not being an admin), feel free to let me know, I will do the best I can to implement good ideas.

Justinetime, there was a mass exodus of members who were interested in Turkish language and culture recently. The ethos of this site has changed greatly in recent weeks. If you are waiting for improvements don't hold you breath.

That usually means an influx of members!! Starry eyed beauties
who have just met their ideal man (AKA dudu) and want to send messages of undying love back to Turkey on their return home!

Now you believe Daydreamer???
let me remind your post ;

Daydreamer:
"I cannot judge why your post got deleted, I haven't read it. But it's not true what you're writing, as long as threads are a discussion they're not locked - your critique of admin is a proof of that, nobody deleted it and you're free to show your discontent with Cat. As far as I remember the locked threads were those with personal insults, not those representing points of view different from Cat's."

Can you see "personal insult" here ?

"Disagreeing with a statement, topic... is one issue. Going on and on and on about one topic is another... stalking a member, constant aggression and attacks (that you should at this point move to a PM conversation if you still have a problem)."

again Daydreamer:
"I have all the right to express my opinion You may bark up every tree saying what you don't like and so can everybody else - it's a public forum"

Why don't you give a normal response with your own thoughts? I have no idea what you're talking about! PM me if you have issues that you think need to be solved. Otherwise, it's ridiculous to keep on responding to you.

You have something to hide ?
Why should i PM you, it's a public forum. I m free to tell my "opinions" and we can "discuss" in respectful way. I m using my rights to cricitize you.

That is enough ya..
Last 4 days, we have been going to bed with this thread at the top, waking up with this thread at the top.
Please yani..
Can we lock this thread?

Well I think it is up to us to stop responding to this ridiculousness.
Let the small minded people continue their ranting and they will only continue to show how little they understand about the concepts of "opinions" and "dicussions".

You cant tell anything to my friends "girliegirl" and "daydreamer" and "thehandsome" anything, even they said

girliegirl : ..Why should it concern you?
daydreamer : if you don't like it, you always have a choice / live with it
thehandsom : Can we lock this thread?

I m sure they know the concepts of "opinions" and "discussions". you can't say "small minded" to them! it's wrong what you're doing..

a joke :
"Tell me GG, there are 17000 accounts in a website. 15000 of them are dead accounts, some people has more than one account, totally they are 1000. 500 different people are online in a month. And we know that the ones who left the web site, most of them they dont delete their accounts. Also admins dont delete the timed-out-accounts,Also at the moment there are 9 people logged in,totally 50 users are generally logged in in a day in anytime.Tell my how many active users are there ?

GG : 17000
DD : Bravo!
"

* just a joke none of them is correct.
