Mis_Led you are a bad girl!!!!!  Pretending you speak Turkish when in fact people are taking trouble to translate your messages for you?

Mis_Led you are wickedly misleading

Basically, I am trying to learn turkish now, and I got the basic concept of that message he sent me but there were some bits I couldn´t make sense of.

I´m going back to Turkey for 2 weeks in May and I think its just common curtesy to learn their native language

Plus the turkish guys there who could speak English, would talk in turkish as me and my friends walked by then all stare and smile. Just wanted to learn what they are saying. I know I´m very naughty but I really am trying to learn  he he he he xx

Sonunda,

.....da hala sesini duydugumda heyecanlanmam...

I thought heyecanlanmam meant that he/she does not get excited... etc. The writer might have meant otherwise, but we don´t know that for sure.

and Aenigma, please don´t use this forum to moan about other members, but just stick to translation-related comments. Personal comments could better be posted as a private message. After all, this is no chatbox.

I don´t agree-I thought ´heyecanlanmam´ was the form ´my getting excited´  and in the context of the piece I think it would be a strange thing to say ´I still don´t get excited......´

Zulful, although you are right and this forum is for translations, quite often light-hearted comments like TheAenigma´s appear after the translation and don´t seem to cause too much of a problem   If there was a problem here it was actually Mis_Led posting her translation request in the middle of someone else´s instead of opening a new thread!

Noooo!  I didn´t mean it was rude!! Just that it gets confusing if different translations are asked for under the same thread  (please come out of the corner now )
