Found several references to ´seni anan´ and ´aþka yar´ but no proper translation of it. If ´anan´ were a name, it would make sense (You, Anan, ). ´aþka yar´ on the other hand, is a strange one. Aþk is love and yar could be that too, but the combination puzzles me. Anyway, i left them both untranslated.
Mountains can´t withstand your loves´ flames
those who don´t know love won´t burn from inside
love is an ilness no doctor can cure
Apart from (Aþka yar)
apart from you, my love, nothing can cure me.
(Seni anan) were made for me
your dough was kneaded for me, my love
Cast away your past life, what will appear
without love, one would get bored of life
love will set someone on fire
apart from (Aþka yar), apart from you, my love, nothing can cure me
(seni anan ) were made for me, my love,
your dough was kneaded for me, my love

ana is mother.
"seni anan benim için doðurmuþ" is "your mom gave birth to you for me" (you are born for me)
yar is lover.
so:
"Aþka yardan baþka,
bana senden baþka care bulunmaz"
for love other than lover
for me other than you, no cure can be found.
(No cure can be found for love other than lover, and for me other than you)
p.s.: I really don´t like this song.

Thanks dilliduduk, but could you rephrase ´No cure can be found for love other than lover´, in a
daha anlaþýlýr bir þekil?
To me it sounds as strange as, let´s say: ´No pears had been left to eat, other than apples.´

What if the life goes by?
Ask olmazsa insan hayattan bikar
If there is no love, one gets bored of life
Ask insani can evinden yakalar
Love catches a person from the inner - weaker side
Aska yardan baska bana senden baska
Care bulunmaz seni anan benim icin
Doðurmus canim hamurunu benim icin yogurmus canim
Does it sound clear?

So for love there is no other cure than a lover or a loved one,
and for me, there is no other cure than you.
Mmmh, I think I´m beginning to understand it.

You are right. I think it is better to say, "no cure can be found for love except lover"
daha anlaþýlýr oldu mu?

Actually, it´s a rather strange sentence, because if love is a disease, then a lover would be the virus or that what infected you. Wouldn´t curing the love would mean getting rid of your lover then? Makes no sense.

"no cure can be found for love except lover" this didn´t make sense also?
it meand the only cure for love is a lover. so it is not the bacterium, it is the antibiotic

I think it is thought that you are infected, not by your lover, but by love, and the lover is like a medicine.

I understand what you both say.
But normally (falling in) love in itself is already linked to a lover-person.
Maybe the curing is when reality steps in, when you get married and are confronted
with the real person behind that lover-facade. Love can be quickly cured then!
But that´s not something for a poetic song ; ))

the thing is that, if you are in love with someone, it doesn´t mean that this person is your lover...

Mmmh, that´s getting rather confusing, don´t you think? You would replace the one infection by the other then?
