First we had burqas to protect ourselves, and now we get martial arts  At least now we can have a hobby instead of being at tc But, how about common sense for all people?
Martial arts teach common sense...or at least should increase it. What they do is increase our awarness to our surroundings.
My martial art of choice is Aikido.

A nasty incident with a tragic ending and shocking how many people passed by before someone decided to step in and help - but I´m not sure of the point of your post. I don´t wish to ´do a Janissary´ but is it supposed to show Turkey (Istanbul) in a bad light? This could have happened in any big city in the World and - more´s the pity - does so on a daily basis.
Well, there was an aggressor, not many people would want to put theirselves in danger. I am surprised that one man did come to help while the killer was there.
I also dont understand why people put such posts here. What is the point? There are newspapers you can read.

you guys will not understand the point of my post untill you or one of your loved ones attacked, wounded or killed by those monsters. but it will be too late. I know you are annoyed by this post and you want to live as if this incident did not happen. infact you do that...(sorry if your turkishness is insulted)
those of you who want to visit Istanbul please be carefull... as a Turk I recommend not to travel alone if that is possible. These incidents DO HAPPEN in Istanbul like in other big cities. It is really sad to see people are killed for nothing.

No need to say this...people still will do what they want to do...walking alone, going in the places they want no matter what it happenned or can happen

And it´s surely easy to get stabbed in Belfast if you´re Polish (3 Polish people stabbed in the last 4 weeks)
