No-one is denying that the streets of Istanbul can be a dangerous place - we were just trying to point out that they are no more dangerous than the streets of most major cities in the World (and a lot less dangerous than some).

I did - and I just read it again and I still see nothing different to reports I was reading in the papers on a weekly - if not daily - basis when I lived in the UK.  I´m still not sure what point you are trying to make?  That the streets of Istanbul are unsafe?  That there are thinner-sniffing addicts living rough?  That mentally disturbed people could be liable to randomly attack people?  It´s the same the world over - not a good thing but unfortunately a fact.
