How true - we are great minds - pity nobody else realises this!!
and I replied kimseden kimseye gelmez
which I think means something like, dont rely on others ,they will let you down

and I replied "kimseden kimseye hayır gelmez"
which I think means something like, dont rely on others ,they will let you down
but then you forgot to add what it is that not "coming"

Kind of, but you cannot use it in response to thanks
it is used in response to a command.
usually for greetings
I mean:
person a-Ailene selamlarımı ilet => Say my greetings to your family
person b-Baş üstüne => With pleasure
or
a-tabancamı getir asker! bring my gun, soldier
b- baş üstüne komutanım!
then sometimes used for joking, when someone speaks to you as if they were your commander:
brother: Mutfaktan gelirken bir bardak su getir bana! Bring me a glass of water when you´re coming back from the kitchen!
sister: Baş üstüne abi! (meaning, yes sure, is there anything else? go and take it yourself )
