Does this mean that HACI AHMET means My dear Ahmet?

I saw in on some product in Turkey (soap, I guess) and was nor able to find the translation of HACI anywhere..

sorry I had to laugh...that brand name " Hacı Şakir " makes me laugh for some reason..

Hacı Şakir sabunları , yes it is an old and good company brand name that started by producing soaps ,nowadays they produce shampoos and many other things. It is quality brand in fact...

The word " Hacı" on its own means = Pilgrim

and its a fashion among some youngsters to call eachother as " Hacı",it is just a way of youngsters talk..

Hacı has two meanings

1- The one who went to Mecca and did their haj (pilgrimage). They they become "hacı"

2- In slang, it means man, dude, pal.

Kuzum means "my lamb" however in informal speech it means my dear, honey

But at least we proved the English proverb "Great minds think alike." If we had disagreed on Hacı we would not be able to say we had great minds Cool
