They are proverbs.

I´ll explain the first one,

Aç ne yemez tok ne demez.

Hungry man eats anything but  the man with full stomach complains about everything.

The poor eats anything that he finds. He is not fussy about his food. Since he has no choice but eat anything he can find. But the wealthy person is fussy about his food as he has many choises of food.

5. Ateş demekle ağız yanmaz.

Just saying "fire" won´t burn the mouth.

Just talking about harmful things won´t bring us harm.

In old Turkish ;

Ot  tese ağız köymez.

7-Ağilda oğlak doğsa ırmakta otu biter

If the child was born in a sheepfold he will grow in a river.

It is about how God when creating a living thing prepares a livelihood for him at the same time. But these sheepfolds and rivers (pastures in some versions) don´t quite make sense to me I admit.

While looking for explanations I found two different terms, sav and atasözü. What is the difference? Are sav´s the oldest layer of Turkish proverbs? I see they are often quoted in old language.
