In my opinion, Mehmet Ali Birand one of the greatest, beloved journalist who lost his life yesterday is worth to be mentioned here.

His last job was as news presenter in a private channel. I remember in my high school times, I was watching his documentary series programs called 32.Gün. The way he was presenting news, his optimism and peaceful messages was still echoes in my ears. Death is so weird thing. Knowing that the people you are used to hear or see everyday suddenly disappear is so saddening.

Rest in Peace Mehmet Ali Abi.

Türk milletinin başı sağolsun.

I have a DVD of his documentary of Galatasaray´s Unforgettable Matches. It is really great. I really appreciated his enthuism of doing so many documentaries about many different issues.

Remember his famous slips of tounge which always put a smile on our face.

Some of them were,

one day while presenting a news , he said ;

"madrid´in midyat ilçesinde bir süryani papaz..."

and another day , he said  " İsmail Komandaları´  instead of  " İsrail Komandoları

another one was ;

yayınımızda bugün "deniz zeki´yi" ağırlıyoruz.

There were so many of them. But his slips of tounge were always found sympathetic by people.

That is harsh elifce. He is now in the presence of divine judgement. There is no need to say anything more.

Anyone is free to say what they want to say as long as it doesn´t involve swearings.

I didn´t say you were not free, I said it was not needed. I hope you understand the difference.
