You should have some cold starters for your menu.

My speciality is Sarımsaklı Havuç
You can describe it this way.

grated carrots gently heated in olive oil until they release some of their juice and colour into the oil.

They are served on a flat dish so the orange coloured oil puddles around them. They are covered in yoghurt with minced garlic. Decorate with a little chopped parsley

slurpp.....mmmmm.....

Well Hi freshman,
Further to our earlier discussions about whether I fast or not. I'll just say that for 3 out of the 7 days I was in Turkey i did fast! Well actually i did drink water. We had breakfast at 4am, ate and drank like pigs for 40 minutes, drank a lot of tea, chain smoked 2 or 3 cigarettes and then fell back into bed. The rest of the day everyone else spent laying around and not doing anything much. I was bored and went out a lot for long walks. This was a mistake because on each of the three days i was fasting, by 6pm I was nearly fainting. On one occasion I had to be dragged into the salon and put on a sofa to lie down! Offfff. very hard work! I hope everyone else is managing with more dignity and fortitude that I! (well i am sure you are of course).
