Quoting lady in red:

Do you mean you didn't understand the expression or didn't understand what I meant by it? I just thought that you were obviously desperately trying to think of something else you could mention that was bugging you to add to the huge amount of things that seem to bug you every day! By the way - it doesn't bug me but people in Turkey often think I'm French - however, no-one in France has ever thought I was Turkish!

lol @ LIR....I've been mistaken for many nationalities too, I find it funny but as soon as they hear my name its like "ohhh your Russian!"

Quoting girleegirl:

My first name is typically associated with males. If someone hears my name before seeing me or speaking with me, they assume I am a man...does it bother me? Not in the least. I am quite confident that I am all woman!

So I can't really grasp why being thought of as Russian would be so upsetting.

It's not the fact i'm being associated as being Russian that upsets me, infact I've been associated with being many nationalities, its more or less the fact that people ask afterwards, "then why do you have a Russian name?" and things like that bugs me and also the person that said I was lying...I mean I think I would know my own nationality

My middle name is Rene. In Spanish speaking countries it is typicallly only used for men. So everyone always asks..."why is your middle name Rene?" I tell them I'm named after a favorite uncle. Which in turn causes even more confusion. lol lol lol But I love my entire name. I wouldn't change it one bit!

And it's dark because of clouds. I need to put the lights on - during daytime!
