You do have freedom of speech, my point exactely! But when you express yourself so negatively, I HATE this I HATE that it doesn't get you anywhere. I sound so American, because ironically enough I am. As far as being chained to a bottom of a boat and brought here, I think your exaggerating this. Maybe your ancestors, but then again it sounds like your playing this card like so many do. Let's blame the white people for everything. The Indians are who I feel bad for. I do agree with you on one thing, diversity is welcomed here. In fact, I welcome anyone who wants to come here to work and support our ecomony. I'm tired of supporting the welfare. |
Who is blaming 'white' people? I mentioned that to point out that I come from an oppressed people. 500 years of slavery and then Jim Crow laws are no exaggeration. It is a very sad part of our U.S. History that is clearly documented.
But you mentioned leaving here if I 'hate' something. I cannot leave here. My ancestors along with other sympathetic americans, white, asians, latinos etc. lost their lives, endured police dogs, beatings and torture so that I can vote, have a voice, have access to education. I 'hate' this part of our racist culture here! But, because they struggled so that I can be where I am, I cannot leave here and those still struggling for equality. You cannot deny our history nor its impact on our country today. I am staying to empower those who are being left behind, and since I have traveled outside of the U.S. I have seen how others live as well...I think as an American I should also be a voice for them. Others should know that bad things are happening in our world. Maybe by raising awareness people will speak out and gov. will begin to act to help those in need regardless of being 'black' or 'white'.

This is the most arrogant post I think I have ever seen on this site. And we have certainly seen quite a few lately...
