Quoting teaschip: Quoting aenigma x: Well, unlike you, I did not come to this site to fight. I have been a member of this site since December 2005 and I came here to learn something of the culture, beauty, richness and of course, language, of your beautiful country. Along the way I met some wonderful people, some of whom will be friends for life.
I dont think I will come here for a while - if I stay around I will begin to change my mind about your country.
Have fun.

Quote: Qdemir, why do you say his/her personal pictures and then ask if it id to appease her "female vanity"?
I think you want to send this private message to a certain individual....
But first look in the rules to see if there is a requirement of forum posts prior to posting personal pictures. |
It is not the matter of being allowed to upload personal pictures by the site rules or admins.
....some certain individuals...(a certain person who has started this tread) who have uploaded their personal pictures first and complain about having such messages

Rain:
For me this is something CLEAR, I'm not a kind of person who playes with someones feelings just to have fun, and I never wanted to hurt him (but I have to tell you that sometimes hearing "I love you all the time" was making me nervous) but I heard so many bad stories about turkish men (don't take it personally) for example on this forum that even when my friend is trying so hard to prove me he's not lying I still don't know if I can trust him... but nevermind it's not about my heartaches or love problems, I just hope not every turkish men is thinking about west women like about one-night toy and not every story finish like most said here on this forum. People are always people, and I think everyone is different... but yes you're right the difference beetwen cultures is really huge and we can't avoid that. That's why I'm still not sure what to think about this turkish-polish knowledge

Rain, I believe we have had our differences and now have come to an understanding about things. You and I may not see eye to eye, heck I remember responding to one of your posts "Israel & U.S. are killers". It pissed me off in the worse way, but then I thought about it and wanted to know who this person was and why they felt this way. We still don't agree with eachother, but now I have a better picture of where your coming from. You just say things as you see it and instead of refraising your words they just come out. A suggestion, maybe you may want to rethink things through a little more, before you put them in writing. You never know who your audience is and you maybe able to be blunt with me, but someone else may interperate it differently. You may get better responses back from people here. I just read your post about you and your marriage and you were to the point, however it was wrote with heart. It made me want to read more. Does this make sense?

Ok, Rain I was only trying to give a little constructive critisism, that's all. You know I'm always up for a good debate with you. I was trying to give you another perspective on how you can get your audience to respect your opinion more. You are so hard-headed. Tell me this, are most Turkish men hard-headed?

well writing from the original question at the beginning i have to agree, alot of turkish men will tell you they love you too quickly and yes alot of them think this is because they can say this and get a girl into bed. But this comes from alot of the people on holiday who are just here to have a good time and will sleep around, not all but some. This makes them get the wrong idea but it is the same as in uk if lads know a girl is "easy" they will tell her anything if they think it will make her get with them.
Another thing whilst speaking to my boyfriend who is turkish i asked him how he could say he loved me when we had first met when we didnt even know me. His reply was that he had never been taught i like you and words like that only i love you and he thought the meaning was the same. I dont know whether this is the problem with the other men but it doesnt really bother me. I love living in turkey and think that it is just the way they have been taught by english to say things. Maybe im wrong....??
