No i dont think so. its clear from your words and the bombs aimed at tourists that we r not welcome. Your always welcome in liverpool becoz we dont have prejudice there and yeah we may be poor but we dont treat ppl like you. |
I don't know why you are upset here? You are the one calling him a 'tourist worker', as if he used his wife to get out of Turkey to find another or better life. You are lucky he was so nice and only talked about Liverpool. It seems that you don't respect Turkish people or their country. I think you need to not visit that beautiful place if that is what you feel. Also, read his posts regarding his wife it is obvious that he has deep love and a good relationship with her. Besides, who are you to judge why people get married? If both parties agree, what is it to you? I wish I knew that name of that...i believe but maybe wrong...french movie about wealthy french women who go to a resort in Africa and use their money, and power to manipulate the male workers there. Bottom line...people all over the world get married for all the right and all the wrong reasons. It isn't your place to judge.

Its not his place to judge either. I wouldnt say what I said to anyone else here but this guy thinks he can judge everyone here and thinks he knows what we are all thinking and how much we do or dont know about turkey and its politics & religion and I cant watch him and his ego talk to ppl the way he does. Yeah and I seen the way you all talk about us in chat too, nice ppl.

I have never chatted about you, or this 'us' you mentioned, in any way shape or form.

This is not directed at no one and is just my opinion. Yes, many turkish males say "I love you" or "Seni seviyorum", but I think they are just infatuated and are over-friendly because it is a girl/woman from a different place. The internet is a place where people don't have to be real and can sometimes forget their manners and respect.
This male behavior is not atypical of Turkey only. You can find it in many countries where there is alot of tourism or little tourism. I can say this because I have traveled to many countries... yes, even Japan and Korea.. and believe me, the men there are something else, especially if they see a blonde haired woman or a black woman. Also, when I was in Holland, Austria, England and Italy, I found the same behavior... and I am not European, Blonde or Black.. I am Hispanic.
I must say, of all the countries I have visited, none have been as hospitable as Mexico and Turkey, and I have never found a disrespectful turkish man in Turkey (only here on this site, but this doesn't count!)

wow...seems im missing out on all this fun! hehehehe...
slrgrl62, i agree with u...it's not just men from turkiye, but all men all around the world. i have found the same behaviour from men on my travels whether it be in england, turkiye, egypt, spain, italy...
also a note about the internet...a generalisation, but people can hide behind their computers and be a totally different person than they are normally. because they can't be seen, they can be more bold in what they say.
also words on a screen can be interpreted differently by people and may not have the same meaning and intonation as what they originally supposed to have...it's the same with smses.

Wow you're receiving a lot of feedback ! which shows that this topic is indeed interesting...
Well , OF COURSE You will find people here who will tell you they love you by just watching your pics! but one would need to be NAIVE or too silly to believe they meant it cos of course they don't! for me it would take months even a year or + to tell someone I love him! it's not a game love is a deep thing !
Take it as a joke or perhaps they have a good sense of humor and want to tease you.
Yes, I think most of them treat foreign women with less respect than they address towards turkish women, what can you do with this? I also tend to believe they think foreigners are "easy women" but we cannot generalize.
There are women who like one-night-stand but many others who disagree (Like I do)
Of course, I would never believe someone they love me if I have not meet this guy face to face and I am in daily contact with him and I know him deeply .
To finish , if you do not want to get unwanted messages, why don't you simply delete your pics ? one is Ok but 2 , 3 or more means that YOU WANT PEOPLE TO watch you so what are we talking about?
Greetings ,
Dilara
