Yes, this is it! If you respect others, they'll come back to you with respect.

could someone please enlighten me as to why most of the turkish guys working in holiday resorts are so desperate to be with an english woman...and also use them to buy them clothes gifts etc.... i go to turkey a lot and had what i thought was a really nice turkish boyfriend, however on a recent trip i realised i didnt as he became extremely violent towards me.

Not all Turkish men working in resorts are the same, and iam sure there are many that are geniuine. However, in Turkey the standard of wages are generally low, and it can be hard to find work in Turkey without qualifications. Working in bars, and restaurants in the resorts can be very difficult, they work very long hours, and often work without insurance, the minumum wage in Turkey is something like 450ytl a month, and alot of the resort workers are getting paid way under the minimum wage, but they often dont have any choice but to do these type of jobs. On top of this, working in the resorts only provides pay for the summer season, so the money they earn usually has to last them through the winter too. Quite alot of the resort workers, especially those from the poorer areas of south east Turkey also depend on the money to support their families, brothers, sisters etc, many of them come from very poor villages, which are worlds apart from the lively holiday resorts. Then they see the tourists, flashing their cash about, spending it here and there, and they think that they are rich, which is not always the case, but you have to understand what type of backgrounds some of these men are coming from.

Also, regarding the workers that use English women for financial purposes, if they feel there is no shame in doing this, then it shows that they are uneducated, and have no respect for foreign women. If they had any respect for foreign women at all, then they wouldnt use them for money, gifts etc. I think its just the way they have been bought up, they see foreign women as nothing but money, and although they probably wouldnt use muslim women for financial gain, they feel no shame in using foreigners, in my opinion, this shows that they are uneducated, uncultured, and narrowminded, they may act overtly friendly, and seem quite modern and openminded, but very often they are not what they seem, its just an illusion put on to draw in customers.

This is just too simplistic.
Some men prey on women.
Some women prey on men.
And it just so happens that turkish beach resports are just one of many places in the world that this occurs.
Single people go on holiday and put themselves in the frame of mind to fall in love and unfortunately be taken advantage of.
I can honestly say this almost happened to me my first visit to brussels back in 1990. But, that is another story...

My ex boyfriend is a Turk and he turnt out to be not the guy I thought he was(lets just say he is now serving 8 years in prison) but that does not mean I don't trust Turkish men...infact I have some wonderful friends who are male Turks and one in particular is very nice and when we were talking he was talking about how much he loved his wife and two kids.

Also there was this women from the UK who moved to Turkey to live with her husband and she shared a very small house with his very large family but after a few years they were able to get place of their own and she said she has never been happier (they have been married now for 10 years) and his feelings were just the same.

Also I know someone who has been dating a Turk for over a year now and when I see him all he can talk about is her...rather annoying lol but incredibly loyal and sweet

So it just goes to show that not all Turkish men are after one thing and disrepectful to women!! I also agree it is sometimes the womens fault too...they can be just as bad!

But hey if your willing to take the risk then prepare, for there might be consequences at the end of it!
