Heidi you have no reason to be apologising!

Rain, I really dont get what point you are trying to make at all! Have you ever thought that if people want to learn about Turkish culture, Families etc that they may rather want to search about these things from resourceful sources rather than listening to the biased preachings of others?

If you want to accuse somebody of using bad language, then I suggest you try the Turkish men in the chatroom, who are always ready to hurl verbal abuse in both English and Turkish at just about anyone who doesnt agree with their preachings.

There seems to be a growing number of members of this site, who are simply here to cause argument, usually of a political nationalistic nature.

I cant believe this all started because Heidi said her boyfriend didnt want to go to the army. If he doesnt want to go then thats his opinion! and iam sure its the opinion of many Turkish men.

He's sent me a nasty private message now - which just shows his true mentallity really, and he's the one telling people that they should watch their language!

It would be perhaps more "successful" and enlightening if we had views from other Turkish men, as it is worrying to see that they never challenge the radical statements made here. It seems some people would rather "sit on the fence"...
