Thanks all.  I think its my boyfriend trying to be funny.  I think he´s saying that if his non-existant lottery ticket won, he´d quit school (he´s in a PHd program) in a second and become a fisherman in Mexico.  I´m Canadian so maybe he´s saying he´d go to Canada or he´d take me with him - I know I keep kidding him that I´m going to retire in Mexico.

I have just begun to study Turkish.  I speak English and French - Turkish is quite a challenge for me - I try to add a new word every day.  He writes things to me in Turkish, thinking he´s breaking them down for me making it easier for me to translate - but I think he´s just making it harder!

Whew.  That one was challenging.  I did get the general meaning of it though so I guess I´m improving!  (I still don´t get the bird and the stone thing, but he knows I understand the words for animals so he must be trying to use something he thinks I know.)

Stop sending me joke blank PMs!!!!! I cant help it...when I am on my work PC it often happens that I type a PM and then it arrives blank...I have no idea why!!!

They weren´t blank you silly woman!  They were just emoticons.  If you type an emoticon before any words for some reason the message goes blank.  Same happens if you type a link first. Maybe it only happens in IE?  I will experiment and send you a message in Opera 

Modify:  Oh no it didn´t!!

 No I didn´t write any emotions or add any links... it is something to do with the work (local authority) server since the site was updated!  I also have trouble posting at work....I click "send" and nothing happens so I have to keep refreshing the page or log out and back in before the post will appear

   I think Alameda posts from work too and I know of other members that do.  Some places don´t allow it at all.  Does your lazy, overpaid boss not mind that you surf the net whilst at work?
