Hi, I need help! I'd like to compliment the beauty of a close female friend of who is Turkish. It is my intention to make her see me in a new light perhaps.

Here is what I have so far:

Dear Leyla (not her real name) Hanim,

I took down the last message I wrote on your wall last weekend because it did not fully capture what I wanted to say. Here is what I really wanted to say:

Like the flowers you are named after that blossom in Spring, your beauty has blossomed as well—You were always beautiful, but now you have become even more beautiful since the last time I saw you.

It was good to see you

Take care,
Andrew

Does anyone see any potential problems with this message? Can anyone think of any more appropiate compliments? If this is good enough, could someone please translate it for me?

Thanks to everyone in advance!
Andrew

Hi Drew,

I do hope you are successful in capturing that beautiful Turkish woman.

I believe you have to work hard at it. As they are very reticent. Someone might give you guidance on this aspect.

I'm sure you will get some help from the males in here, on how to get to know her.

also, many turkish girls tend to "treat them mean to keep them keen" so if she does this too... just keep trying, it will impress her and it means she likes you!!

Evet Miss Ceyda, I see you were being instigated.

I would like you to express how you feel trapped in a country with limitations. This would explain a lot to us foreigners about just seeing the surface of a country and how a female feels in Turkey.

well i will try.. i will have to go in 16 minutes but i will try to cut it short..
first of all.. i am in england.. and if anyone else on this site lives here they may understand me.. i doubt it though.... anyway...
first there is studying, having to put up with working everyday... being trapped in a place full of people who you have nothing in common with... having to laugh at there dull, immature jokes or not fit in...
then going home, being stuck in the same four walls until i go back to my exam studying the next day. not having my own space to sit and do what i do best, write. nothing left to inspire me anymore...
and then i have msn so i can talk to my bf and my relatives... but then im only limited to seeing them from webcam eh? and having that awful feeling of longing inside me. limited to not even be able to explain this to them fully because of my level of turkish..
being limited to wake up and see the same 3 houses from my bedroom window every morning... the same grey sky to give them that extra bit of emphasis...almost to rub it in... and ridicule me..
being limited to not being able to express your opinion if its not about the week's tv programme, in fear of being called "posh" or stuck up because i may know whats on the news or such.. whatever... :S
limited to not seeing other cultures or learning new things about different people any places... this must be hell on earth.. and i seem to have found it...
not being able to do certain things here and there becasue of racial discrimination...is life really worth it in this place??
and then to top it off... needing a cigarette.. and not being old enough to buy them!!

i doubt that this is the response that u were expecting but anyway... here u go... thats what i meant...

Hi Miss Ceyda, thanks for explaining. I can sympathise with you. I think we have been to places and felt the same.

Are you in England studying English?

There are so many bad things in life which do not depend where you live.Trust me.
