I am uncertain how to translate the following English into ´acceptable´ Turkish.  I shall be grateful to somebody who is either knowledgeable ... or better still .... a native speaker.  I have managed to do it but I am not happy at all.

1.  The girl, about whom they told us many bad things, is a very good nurse.

2.  The country, about which he wrote many articles, is Africa.

3.  The war, about which many books are written, lasted for 20 years.

4.  The slave trade, about which many books will be written, evntually ended in the 19th century.

Thanks

Please correct my translation:-

>> Pratiðim çok iyi deðil ve bazen gramer konularýnda çeliþkiye düþüyorum. Ýngilizceyi bilen insanlarla birarada olsaydým eðer böyle olmazdý diye düþünüyorum. <<

My attempt>> I don´t have much practice and experience difficulty regarding grammar.  I think it would not be so if I had spent some time with a person who knew English. <<

Thanks.

Thread: ´Let me ...´ ; ´Don´t let me ...´

I am finding this very difficult to say in Turkish.  Please can someone help?  For example:-

1.  Please let me go  ....

2  Please don´t let me go ...

3  Please don´t let me praise myself ...

4  Please don´t allow me to talk about myself ...

5  Kindly restrain me if I talk too much about myself ...

In my opinion, in this context the expression ´Let´ is not quite the same as ´Izin [permission]´ ... rather it has connotation of ´Restraint´  or ´Constraint´ !!!!!!!!!!

I need help from a language expert, kindly.
