Thread: I do not mean to be a pain

At the end of an english text it was written

"arim balim peteyim"

now the i perhaps should be without the dot, but I do not know.

I have struggled to make sense. I dare not ask my teacher on saturday as although I know Omer would be careful one can never tell.

We are both committed elsewhere and are struggling, so if someone could let me know what this means I would be more than grateful.

I do know from past translations requests that perhaps reading and wrighting even in his own lanugage perhaps may not be the best

Thread: In Love with Turkish Men?

I am an intelligent and well educated British woman ( well my CV says that any way !!!) Turkish men and british woman..

in my experience this falls not in to any one category.

You have your young girl on holiday who has saved up all year and clearly is looking for what she would see as a little romance.. on occassion I have seen this turn in to a marriage and a happy one at that

We then have the girls of whom to be fair we would rather not own as our country woman.. who can blame any man Turkish, Spanish, Greek etc for not having a bit of " how´s your father" and if the lass is daft enough well that´s the story we will read next month in Closer Magazine or similar.

Then we have the older lady ( of which I am one 45 ) If their head is not on the right way by this time what hope.. It is not Turkish Men who are the propblem it is the stupid opportunities that British Woman provide, it may be a tirk, a greek or a spaniard etc, if the opportunity is there certain men and indeed woman will take advantage it is not a matterof race or creed but personality.

Omer honey

It was fantastic to speak with you today.

I do miss you very much, you must understand though we have a Company to run here in England  and while we are moving our business to Dalyan it will take time.

The buying of Mehmets villa is going through: we are just waiting for the officials to do the paperwork.

Honey never think that you are not always on my mind, but we have to work to the end goal..

A and I in Dalyan. As you know we have spoken we are coming "home" on 22 March for 9 days.

You and I need to spend some time together .. how this will happen I do not know.. we will have to think hard, we need some time away from everyone Andy, Wendy !!!! I think you know what I am saying. Just remember sweetheart we have our difficullties ( A and L) but we can deal with if it, if it is right and God willing.

I kiss you with my soul and hope you remember me in the silent hours...God be with you always

Love as always J

Thanks I hope no one takes as a slight , because what I am learning from you all is invaluable

I would just like to be able ( and hopefully in 6 months so my teacher says) I can now and again surprise Omer with something straight form me in his language and while I learn I get a little impatient and embarrassed that he does all the hard work.. does that make any sense.. if not so sorry

I am in the position where I can converse quite reasonably in politeness ie: hello, good bye ( with all the different versions /situations)

I am learning no lets be truthful I am starting to learn Turkish from a lot of sources this site being invaluable for quick fix . I had my first private lesson last night.. it went well but we are back in the primary school stage, so I have to say while I am learning thank you all for helping me, there is one question is there however an aversion for translating from Eng to Turkish. Just something I picked up generally and I will be honest  personally ? not a moan just a question
