Hi all,
How long have you been learning your Turkish for and where are you as regards your confidence on conversational Turkish using every day to day conversations and situations. I am still very slow at putting together sentances I have learnt many words and sayings my problem lies on actually putting together a good quite basic conversational Turkish I would put the length of time learning at only three to four months I would like to be more further ahead of myself. Could you tell me members what conversational Turkish you have learnt and how long you been learning for.

I miss you by a few days I go on the 1st December from Heathrow and infact travel at 8.50 a.m. so I will also have about three hours+ to hang around the airport it is a pity it is a few days too late. Have a good trip

Thanks very much for your feedback, jackieeuk it was intresting reading your experience also, I am a worrier and do not want to miss my connecting flight but as you rightly said and the travel company I booked with they will put you on the next available flight, as a matter of intrest Jackieeuk how long did you have to wait after you missed your connection till the next flight?

I am looking for flights from Istanbul to London for my girlfriend when she comes next year to London. Can anyone suggest which airlines they would choose to come from Istanbul to London. I have so far found Turkish airlines and Easyjet. Turkish airlines are ok but with Easyjet you have to fly from Sabina Airport which I did not want her to use.

Hi all,
I am travelling to Istanbul on the 1st December 2006 and got a very good deal on a flight the only drawback is I have to change in Zurich (Switzerland) I am a worrier and see that they only give me an hour in between landing in Zurich and then catching the next plane to Istanbul, I know things can happen and planes get delayed what if this happens and I arrive too late for my transfer, advice please and experiences put my mind at rest. I have contacted the airline and my travel agent and if by any reason there is a delay then they will put me on the next available plane.

Having previously asked for help about working in Turkey I have looked into the TEFL courses I think this is my best route to actually gaining enough to do some sort of English teaching in Turkey. I am really writing to people who have took the course their views and reasons why they went for the course and how they got on. The idea of teaching a class English is a bit daunting for me but on a one to one basis would be better. Please write back your views thankyou
