I think I understand your question.

Actually the accusative form in Turkish can be:

1. indefinete

öğretmen gördüm - I saw a teacher

Bir kitap aldım. - I bought a book.

2. definete

öğretmeni gördüm - I saw the teacher

Kitabı aldım. - I bought the book.

But Ankara is a definete thing that´s why Ankara´yı seviyorum.

I hope I could explain it clearly.

It depends on the context... canavar can also mean ´dragon´.
