urgent translation turk to eng plz

As you cannot use correctly formed English, how might we suspect you would believe the translation? Additionally you give no indication why it is "urgent".......

I though this site was for people who need help and assistance? why should i have to tell you why it is urgent?

turkishclass is for people who want to learn Turkish........there are many people here who will assist with that and assist with translations for people who are trying to learn Turkish.

The first sentence of your post should be easy to translate by anyone who is trying to learn the language with the help of the dictionary - try double clicking any word:
Dün gece sana şaka yaptim
Yesterday evening I was joking with you.

Many members are here to get free and fast translations from english to turkish - and vice versa-rather than LEARNING the language (what this site is for) and I am not talking about grammar help or translations once in a while (because I have asked for them too) but people who ask for translation all the time and 2 , 3 or more a day ,
It's just my opinion...
Dilara.

Guys,it is a good practice for us learners too,and we don't mind too
And who ask for translation knows that too,so he or she might not get the whole thing translated as they want.

And in my opinion learning language isn't something easy for everyone,
So there are some people who can't or maybe don't want to learn it.

And other who are welling to help !

So guys take easy, and let's don't judge each other's actions.
İt's after all the translation Forum here, they are welcome to ask for help,
And there are lots of kind people here who are welling to help.

Take it easy guys, and don't lose this site lovely spirit.

God, what is wrong with this site these days ??!!!

"turkishclass is for people who want to learn Turkish....there are many people here who will assist with that and assist with translations for people who are TRYING TO LEARN TURKISH"

I took Bod's words because I agree! Canli, I know we can practice a lot by helping with the translations and for sure there are many nice people want to help but you know? It's TOO MUCH lately!!! , just take a look on the forum , full of sms translation request and the like... and in the messages you can see words like " aşkım , gece , seni , seninle , seni seviyorum " which you can find easily or understand with a very very small amount of effort...

or if the person who sent it to you is your partner or boyfriend , aren't you supposed (at least) to UNDERSTAND EACHOTHER?!

Again , just my humble opinion....

Don't worry, it usually reduces significantly over the next month or so as the holiday romances fade away...

Dilara,
You cann't just say to someone who askes for your help,go and try it yourself,or tell him,or her,i'm doing this as a favor,or i am doing it for you,but you should go and teach yourself !
You are embaressing someone who CAN'T,who doesn't have the knowledge which you are having it some how.

Yes,it contain easy words, but also contain hard ones too,and the one who ask for the translation want to have the right meaning,or maybe checking their own translation.

We too ask for people help here, and sometimes,i for myself be a bit stupid and need much explanation to get the exact point.

And our friends here are really so patient and give it there best and there time to make things clear.
Without saying, go and learn it yourself !

So don't we do same for people who ask our help ?

İ too, didn't know some words at the translation she is asking for,i'm not very good at Turkish too,but not very bad too.

So what is wrong if she asks ??!

Btw,i guess people here are welling to assist anyone, even those who doesn't want to learn Turkish,
Maybe they come here to know about Türkiye, and they don't want to learn the language,
İt's up to them really, you cann't question their reasons, you either help or not, that much is up to you, otherwise,i think it's personal choice by them.

My opinion too .

I am one of those people who have asked for translations. I am one of those people I think you feel are taking advantage of this site.

I am not sure how to respond to this thread.

First and foremost, I am in debt to everyone who has helped me. I could not communicate as I need to without the kind and generous help of people on this site.
And yes, I am also one of those "holiday romances", but have not yet moved to the predicted space of dying out that so many jokes are made about on this site.

I am desperately trying to learn Turkish. I study every day after work. I am now familiar enough to know the cases of nouns, nominative- normal subject; accusative (object with the word "the"), genitive , dative ("to"), locative (where), and ablative (from)

I can count to a million.

I can say hello, goodbye, good evening, goodnight. I know how to separate verbs with mi mu to form a question.

I have downloaded wikmekmak, and ever link posted on this site.

But, I have so much to learn.

I have enlisted the help of a Turkish tutor on Saturdays, but it takes time.

My point? Please understand that learning a language is hard to do. I feel uncomfortable posting any translation requests, and only do so in the greatest desperation. I feel that some of us are misunderstood because we post requests. It doesn't mean that I am not trying to learn. It's just that's it's really hard.

I often cannot look up words because of the suffixes - I am becoming familiar with how to find the root word.

Please be a bit patient.

thank you,
Sincerely,
Christine

Christine, I think Bod's point was that some people do not bother to write in clear English and also that some get very impatient and demanding for quick translations! It can appear rude. Neither of which I think you are guilty of

Canli if you read my previous posts you would see WHAT MY POINT IS ! I am NOT against help or support because I need it AS WELL and as much as you !!! I am just saying that some people and their translation requests seem like a circus (because it is TOO MUCH and IN SOME MESSAGES after GETTING THE TRANSLATION they ask for help again and again and in the messages you can see THE SAME WORDS which have been already translated so....appart from asking they can not even check this fact...

I do not mean to sound offensive dear , it is just my opinion , I respect yours .
kendine iyi bak,
Dilara.

Ok Dilara,
İ got your point, and i hope you got mine too
Wish we all the best Türkçede

Dear Christine,
Don't worry about asking for translation here,it's obvious that you are trying to learn,
And none has been born knowing Türkçe except Türk ofcourse..lol
So feel free to ask,at this point i agree with Dilara, helping someone who is trying to learn, feels like trying to help your classmate, its your right to get the help you need under the name of TC classes ..lol

Thanks Canli!

I have felt badly for a while reading the forum posts and the narratives and commentaries of regular users that follow some requests.

I will learn! Hopefully, Bogazici will accept me next summer and I will really be able to speak!

bod translated the fairly straightforward first line
I think it is incredible that a person asks for a translation and she is more or less told to learn the language herself and in another translation thread all hell has broken loose and nobody seems to care :-S

merhaba!

learning a foreign language is not an easy task; and it takes time.... and patience; and sometimes thoughts run faster than the linguistic possibilities
congratulations for those who are striving to learn but also for those willing to help...
let`s not judge the others

This is soooooo funny!!! I think the reason we are all on Turkish Class.com is to debate one another. Clearly, it takes very little to set the fire going! The best part is you can't even blame your favorite escape goat here!!! HEHEHEHEHEHE!!! I love this site.

(Who will write and say that my soooo is not correct English now?)

I think its great - a normal debate and some fun thrown in. I certainly don't see anyone being told to go and change their hair, to shut up, that they are too young to comment or that they are stupid. This is the difference Capoeira!!
