Hey Ceyda,
Do not get upset. It is same fish thing.I wanted just to share what I read about healthy eating. And it is not bad thing when from something we get the knowledge about other things. It is great I think.I was laughing and looking to my fingers after Alfa's question about joint. We all learn this way.Look at the positive side of everything.

im not upset... im not gonna giv no fish the privelage of upsetting me!!

I can see where non Turkish speakers get confused on issues related to LOVE. How can one ever fall in love, with a language say like English, where love is assumed to operate either from the brain or the heart ?

Love is an abstract notion that is way too noble to reside in mere lumps of blood&tissue.

As always, the wise old language of Turks offer the solution: LOVE is nested neither in the brain nor the heart. Neither is wide enough.

Turkish language suggests that LOVE resides in and operates from one's 'GÖNÜL'.

If you can ever figure out what exactly GÖNÜL is, let me know too.

so gönül... yeah.. im liking this word... thats another great thing about turkish.. theres usually a word or expression for everything so back to the gönül thang... how could this be used in a normal sentence eh??
i need to say it to someone hihi

I agree with Miss C - I also cannot bring myself to eat fish. The acupressure thing works well with me but also I find it helpful to sit very quiet with some calming music and go into a meditative state and then to imagine a healing white energy coming down through the crown chakra and slowly follow it in my minds eye through my body, along my bones, my muscles into each of the chakras healing and energising. This done on a regular basis keeps energy levels high and illnessess away!

Oh and for those who like it is ggod to focus on kundalini energy-lower chakra where sexual energy is strong!!

i cant even stand lookıng at them..

it was actually quıte funny one tıme ın turkey... i was really p****d off with ma bf... and it was me and sitting in the back of the car together... he kept moving ova to be nearer to me but ı wouldnt evn look at hım... i kept my eyes fixated out of the window... until we went though a whole street which was selling fish!! i had to turn my head... and dispite how angry i was i couldnt help but laugh...

Ceyda,
Why you scared of fish.Ok try ginger, lemon(rub your forhead and temples with a lemon peel)
Traditional Chinese healers prescribe acupressure to relieve headache pain.Take turns rubbing the second joint of each thumb, first right and then the left, for two minutes each.Repeat five times on each thumb. If you use your favourite scented lotion, you can imagine you're gettng a hand massage at the manicurist.
I think we opened ER here.
Good luck

ım just scared of fısh.. işte... ı dont know why.... iiiyhhh... u should see the faces ım pullıng tryıng to explaın... dw bout it eeeyyhhhh :S

thanks for the alternatives but ı thınk ıll just stıck to paracetomol hehe... fish... omg... hihi

so... ok then... in a restaurant... why is it that waiters ask you stuff like, "ondan yer misiniz?" (which lit. means "will u eat from that?" right?)

can u say that in shops too...? i dont know how to explain myself... whats something which there is a lot of and u just want to buy 1... hee.... cigarettes for eg. (1st thing which came to mind!).... how can u go into a shop and ask to buy something like this without sounding all proper.. i want to learn turkish like it was my mother tongue.. so, could i use that "ondan" thang here?... possibly in conjunction with "alim" ...??
please help me.. im confusing myself here!!
