I must admit living in England seems to make you need money, put aside all the bills etc i never could enjoy england without money but here in Turkey you dont seem to need it as there are so many things to do which dont involve money i.e go to the beach, stroll along the sea front, meet with friends by the pool, read, chatter with family - all these things cost nothing, i guess that that might have a lot to do with the weather though

Is this an 'official' saying in Turkish? And if so, what is it? Ye tatlı, konuş tatlı

tatlý yeiyim tatli konustum? is that the right saying

Its funny but everyone i meet through my job in turkey says how lucky i am to be 'living the perfect life' and in some ways i am, but people never realise the hard work and long hours that go into a job here they almost always see it from the holiday point of view - which by the way it isnt.

I was sat in a restaurant with my husband last night and we had sat and finished our meal (which by the way was lovely) and i just took a step back and realised what a perfect service they gave. The garson was sweepingup the crumbs from our table with a mini brush and pan and i just thought these people work so hard for virtually little money and it made me so upset. I wish the turkish economy will oneday rise so that everyone can be treated as equal here.

I love it, and i have on many ocassions cooked it but it never quite tastes the same as what you get here in turkey!

The turkish cusine list is vast and i absolutely adore the turkish food. There are so many different types but a lot of the foods are used with a lot of oil and they also love their salt and lemon!

Sometimes a fresh salad has just a basic dressing of lemon and oil but it gives it that extra bit of flavour.

My favorite foods are lahmacan (a pizza type flat bread with minced lamb), dolma (vine leaves suffed with either meat or rice), cacik (a yogurt and cucumber cold meze) and last but not least patlicantava (a stuffed aubergine with minced meat and some veg)

Hey anyone know if any turkish teachers/lessons in the oxfordshire area of england?

Never in all the 6 years that i have tried to learn have i found anyone that is willing to teach it.

Then one year is was going ahead at the oxford university but was cancelled because there wasnt enough interest.

Going back for the winter and dont want all the hard work and effort that i have put in this season to go to waste.

Thanks
Laura
