thanks a lot friends i noticed that poems of Marina Tsvetaeva sound in english as good as in Russian. and another request may be you know this song and can translate it

what about Marina Csvetaeva

slavica thanks a lot for your linksim really glad that you also love Akhmatova. i have found good translation of my favourite poem "Muse"but it seemed to me that her poems don't sound so heartfelt on english like something loses..don't you think so? i didn't find translation of this poem and i don't image how it can be translated perfectly

***

* * *

* * *

Quoting Chris123:

I think all my first instincts are confirmed by you all. Instincts like those are easily hidden by romantic words, but my head must rule my heart. I think I will end this before it becomes a problem.

Every day on this site I read messages from girls (never boys you notice!) and all the messages are the same. They are all invited out to visit...there is a proposal..and so on. I want to scream at them "you fools"!! But I am so stupid I didn't notice that I am exactly the same!

It makes me so sad though. Not so sad for the loss of this man, or of love (love is everywhere!) as for my sadness of losing my faith in people's integrity. I loved Turkey so much I can shut my eyes and smell it's rich scent and hear it's melody but right now this man represents Turkey and it has deceived me. I am not a fool, and yet we English appear to be thought of as such because we believe people are being honest. It is very sad.

dear Chris
its very sad that you meet this man because there are many..many turkish men for whom to say that they don't have money to buy winter coat - its shame and disgrace.every ordinary turkish man knows - he must care for his woman and support her because he is man.its normal.and turkish women know their own worth and even don't deal with such men.let's aslo think mush of ourselvesim sure you deserve true man and i wish he were turkish man

20..wonderful age when you madly fall in love, think that he is whole world and 30 is declining yearsyou have to get through that.and may be you shouldn't accuse your boyfriend because he is honest with you and he confesses to that now he is not ready for marriage.
and as for 30 there is good russian film "moscow doesn't believe in tears" and heroine says "the life just is starting in 40 years. now i know it certianly"
