Thank you to everyone! A special thanks to Ayla who saved me from embarrassment in August with an e-mail, and who kindly translated my and Omer's very long posts. Aenigma, we've not met, but your assertiveness, intellect and wit inspire me. Robyn, your posts are so upbeat and informative! Kai, you are a marvel- I am in awe of your resilience, humor, and candor. Derya, Dilara, Cyrano, and every kind patient soul who encouraged me to 'stick with it'- I thank you!
I'm off to Turkey in just 14 hours! Everyone on this site has been so helpful personally in my study (albeit slow) of Turkish and Turkey.

Happy New Year!
Christine

Quoting CANLI:

Ohh,but Rain was really very helpful here to TC members, and he never turnes down any translation request for anyone, and when ever he can,he explain about the grammars too.
Maybe, yes he has his own way,and arguments with lots of people.
But it is still his right to say that he was very helful to people who asked for translation, and for any question you ask,he answer you.
So thanks to him too,and wish him luck in what ever he does.

True RAIN from what i hear is top nominee, but have only seen one post from him... too bad; it's my luck! BUT you're forgetting CANLI .. statistically, she broke all records in the the history of a forum! {i dont need to check} just check out her posts! and her motivating replies, even if she dont know the answer, she shows she cares. she's the top student here! and not to forget the lovely poems and delicious recipes so give it up to our sister CANLI!

my TOP nominees!

1- Ayla, HOW CAN YOU FORGET HER???? HOW?????
DO I NEED TO MENTION WHY? guess not!

2- CANLI- you all know her!

3- caliptrix for the video anthology/lyrics!

special honors:
4- mltm- for small translation- a specific one that means so much, yet also with grammar, etc.

5. erdinc: for being vey active {at certain point}

also, sorry for those whom i've neglected to mention or never met
im sure there are other great people too, yet this is the system

also, no need to mention some people the # of posts they have dont matter, but their effectiveness....and the INSOMNIAC's club! and the chatroom dwellers!

May Allah Bless you All!!!
Peace out!

Hey guys,

Nobody mentioned anything about nur1! I think her presence here during the past few months is more than obvious so my top nomination goes for her!
