I was thinking about this all week actually. Was very surprised there wasn't a mention of the 9/11 anniversary this week. I don't find it good or bad, just interesting...

There was some posts about it, but not on a specific thread.

Yes, I admit, not many people mentioned it to me either. I almost went all day without someone saying what happened, though the person that did mention it was in America on that date.
I found it strange because every year before that it was a bigger issue (moment of silence etc)

I will admit myself, I remember the day so clearly and really thought there would never be a day that would go by that I didn't think about it. But, like everyone else it seems, we have moved on...
Same in Britain for 7/7?

I haven't completely forgot it. I still think about it now and then. Just as you said, I remember it so clearly but just trying not to dwell in the past too much.
Both of the events I mean.

It was certainly remembered in all UK media. However... I am glad some of the attention has died down from the frenzy of previous years. Some of the coverage bordered on a curious sinister voyeurism rather than a respectful memorial.
In addition, the action taken as a result of 9/11 and the thousands of equally innocent people who have been killed since in the name of "revenge", has tainted the way people feel.

I won't even go into the "bush response". Jackass....
but the thousands of people that were crushed to death, or the people onboard as they saw the towers coming. Its still so surreal!

We have so many such days from decades of bombings...

Too true, but I think many people would like to get their hands on one person more than George Bush still.
