Auntie Aengima and uncle Alfie meet for a conference in Istanbul (originally was going to be Kenya) to discuss how to deal with overwhelming demand of users for their advice. Details not clear yet, stay tuned..

I have just been informed that another important point on their conference agenda is discussing Alfie's lack of involvement in the project. Is he sick? Is he afraid? Is he evil? Only time will tell... and as for the moment, he's completely ignoring his responsibilities. Stay tuned for more...

I was in Istanbul this weekend and I saw huge preparations for the conference. I saw the advertisements and everything . Everybody is talking about it.
It will be such a shame if it is canceled.

Thank you for update Thehandsom! (our TC correspondent from Istanbul). We did expect huge crowds to gather as a resonse to the conference, but certainly not THAT huge! If Alfie continues to be apathetic, only responding to the "army thread" we might consider other options of what happened to him when he served in the army... Currently the most convincing speculation is the "newbie theory" (new soldiers being harassed by the older ones). Stay tuned for more...

AEnigma has made no firm committment to attend the conference at this juncture and is currently in hiding after media speculation regarding her marriage to Q. Her meeting with "Uncle" Alphie is still in the negotiation stage.

While the problem business has been thriving, AEnigma feels that Alphie's input has not been sufficient enough to warrant his fee.

She denies everything and we beg the press to give her some privacy at this difficult time.

Yours sincerely,
Lie, Cheat and Steal Inc.

That's disappointing, I had heard a bunch of American conservatives were going to attend. They were anticipating hearing Omegas lectures...Please let us know of any updates...

In an exclusive interview with AF, he told TC that he actually never went to the army... yes, this is a shock to all of us. He's been diagnosed by a doctor and sent to Konya as a dudu, here's an excerpt from the conversation:

Quoting TC:

Thank you so much for sharing. And how exactly does the process of not getting accepted to the army work?

Quoting AlphaF:

Once their medical status is established as such, by army Doctors, they are sent to work in the tourist industry, where they serve as valiant dudus.

Some of you might know that Konya is not a great place to work as a dudu... Dudu's in Konya don't have a lot of business and when they do, they get severely criticized by the local, conservative community. This, no doubt, left an emotional scar on Alfie.
This information, as you all realize, uncovers important aspects of AF's life. However, it still doesn't explain why Alfie started a company with Aengima but does NO work in it and why did Aengima remane her legal practice as "Lie, Cheat and Steal, Inc."? And above all, what will happen at the conference in Istanbul.. Important questions are still to be asked. Stay tuned...

This is a silly thread that looks as if it us designed to undermine the credibility of a very knowledgable member here.

Now I guess you will start in on me. Instead of involving yourselves in meaningful, researched and informed discourse, you are stooping to making fun of members who disagree with you.

Shame on you!

you mean this:

"Look, I served in this army and my son served in this army -partly because we felt it was our responsibility to protect you and your husband's sisters.

It is not on to chicken out and cry in complaints, when it is his turn to serve. It is his own honor, do you think Turkish Army desparately needs his services?"

Well did it ever dawn on you that some may consider them heros?

THIS JUST IN.....Quinoa is an insult to Turkishness!!

Anyone found distributing, eating, cooking or enjoying anything other than ordinary Turkish rice (pilaf) will be punished under section 301 of the Turkish penal code...vegetarians will be considered "high risk" eaters and be highly suspect.

I find it so funny when people feel really offended, insulted or hurted online, or when they think they should stand up for each other. Wake up guys, this is internet. You press one button and ALL the people are GONE.

We are all part of a community and when something is siad that I dont like, I will say something about it, if I feel treated unfairly I will reply, but these keep coming up as ongoing discussions, and what for? Its not taking any extreme forms, and its not even real. If you dont like it, there is a small [x] right up the page.

Deli_kizen, of course you are in many ways correct, but I think we tend to forget there ARE real people at the end of the line here who can be hurt. Words are powerful, more so than swords. I think we need to remember that.

Just because there is very little protocol thus far on the proper on-line manners, using common sense and sensitivity is always a good idea, don't you think?

By the way, I really love some of your photos here. Thanks for uploading them.

Yes I agree with you and my post wasnt meant towards you solely anyway, but these ongoing arguements of people who feel bashed.. YES there have been occassions that people acted very rudely and unfair, but sometimes I feel like people just stand up for each other to make a point against the other..

But Im always for sense, sensibility and simplicity

Hope to add more nice pictures one day, since that will mean I have visited more nice places too I got your PM but if I dont reply immediately, I usually forget it And the gözleme your friend makes sounds wonderful
