Quoting tunci

We have a saying in Turkish , " Görünen köy klavuz istemez " --> "The visible village requires no guide " in other words if you can see the village then you dont need a guide to go there.

in another words your talent, your determination and willingness in learning Turkish is visible. I ve been on this site since January , what I observed until now is that you are always help learners by translating e-t,t-e. and trying  complicated texts  bravely..your help to others  is undeniable.  On this site there is no room for discouragement. We all need to encourage eachother. I am sure acute is feeling regretful for his remarks. I am waiting him to apoligize you and others

Aferin azimli arkadaşım sana !!

I have been a member here for over 6 years myself under 3 different user names and I have always admired Deli´s humour and enthusiasm and willingness to help others. Don´t let anyone upset you Deli. Carry on as usual.

Hi deli, can I add my voice to the Huuuuuge chorus of those encouraging you to keep going.

Acute: Deli was just trying to get a nice and polite translation so that her notice would have the greatest effect and not offend anyone. She was being thoguhtful. That is clear from the title "need to get it right." I am sure she could have written something herself, with her level of Turkish, but wanted it to be superb. Which is what she got from the 2 translators.

I wish that Turks writing official documents in English would just check with native speakers too. The Sigortacılık Daire of TC Hazine has just published a report on life insurance in Turkey that spells the word "foreign" three different ways on one page! They needed to be like Deli and check

actually bydanad I was neither embarrassed nor was I looking for any additional comments from you. But you seem to find the need to continue to bash and a need to validate who you are on this site. Basically you can go piss up someone else´s tree. I did not add any further comments because I did not want this to continue into something it should not of become. But you just did that a second time. I only said in the beginning I was shocked that deli needed help on a simple sentence and now I understand why. I did not bash her nor did I try to. It was just a comment that being such a long standing member on here to ask for help on a simple sentence, was rather shocking to me and I wondered if I would ever be able to get to any reasonable level of turkish in a shorter time. Seven years learning seemed rather a long time to not be able to put a few words together or trust her level of turkish. By the way is this how you validate yourself on here by making derogatory remarks? No wonder you have had 3 different names old man. Now go play some bocci ball or something  and leave this be you´ve had your few minutes of famous fence sitting.

Thanks acute. I think I will give the Bocce bowls a miss. Far too strenuous at my time of life. Going for a lie down now.
