Neither did I     I decided to experiment.  Actually I didn´t give the right amounts . . . I meant to type 2 parts rice and 1 part bulgar (not 2 parts bulgar).  I fried the chopped onion before adding the rice.  I hate raw onion but love it cooked.

When cooking very large amounts of pilav a friend (Iraqi) of mine covers the bottom of the pan with sliced potatoes, to prevent the rice sticking/burning.  These potatoes are delicious too

Thans PT,i made it,and it came out nice

İ also fried the onion, and the green pepper but just a little, and it turned out nice really

But i didnt try the potatoes thing tho, some people here do this when making dolma for same reason ,we usually add slices of tomato ,onion, greet pepper, carrot, and what ever you want at the bottom  to add scent, taste to it,but we dont eat them.

You´re welcome.  Those vegetables you don´t eat would form the basis of a nice soup if you blended them

Köfte with broccoli and potatoes cooked in water with ´acı biber salçası´ and some chicken stock left from last dinner, with yoghurt-garlic sauce and salçalı butter.

Sütlaç and an apple from a relative´s garden for dessert.

A sixpack of Beypazarı soda and a bag of ´Jelibon´ whilst studying, pistachio and beer for when I´m done

I mostly liked the last part But the meal was prepared fast, so Im happy! The thing I hate most is that preparing it takes me so long But now I just buy lots of minced meat and prepare the köfte all at once and put it in the freezer in 1 person portions Cool

A breakthrough in Turkish student brunch lol

Couldn´t decide whether to fry an egg or heat up some lentil soup I had left. Finally I heat up the soup in a small frying pan and then broke an egg above it

Tonight I´ll probably have some Chinese take out. Has been a looooong time!

Who cares Its called Fusion Cooking See it even has a name What is also nice, kuru fasulye with bacon You make dessert from chicken breast and flowers, why not put an egg in soup (which, by the way, is a common thing to do, only the egg is put in stirring so it only leaves small parts for structure. I learnt this from a mother of a friend, I forgot the name of the soup but it contained potatoes and meatballs rolled in flour )

And besides, I make real good Mercimek Çorbası

Today we´re having pierogi with minced meat. I spent over an hour yesterday making them (no, not the ones in the picture) and they´d better be good (I also made some with spinach but they´re gone already {#emotions_dlg.shy})

DK - In Poland you often use an egg to thicken a soup (a mix of flour+cream+water works as well). And some soups are served with boiled eggs in them
