Thank you Mrionin, go and enjoy your poison, iyi olmanýzý diliyorum.

Being uninitiated, "geçme-sin" troubled me > according to you it ought to be "geçme-si(n)-i".   I get it.  Thanks

Translation of the following sentence has not been understood.  Can Marionin Turkey {or someone just as expert]kindly help?

>>Bizde sizin noelnizi kutlar guzel gecmesin dilerim.<<

geçsin = let it pass [may it pass]

geçmesin = May it NOT pass ???   Am I right?? Hence:-

>>We also wish your New Year not to pass nicely.<<  !!!!!!!!????????????

From one learner to another, might it be a more colourful way to say:-

´Seni gorur gormez aþik [or asýk - as the case may be] oldum´   ???????????

My try:-

>Benimle konuþacakselar [or - konuþsecekler], Pazar akþamsine soylecekler<

But, be careful, my vowel harmony is very suspect ... no matter how hard I try.

Tomorrow is Kurban Bayram and I would like to send a message to someone, but am not sure the proper way to say it. Would you say Happy Kurban Bayram? Blessed Kurban Bayram?  How would I write the following:

I wish you and your family a blessed Kurban Bayram. You are in my thoughts. Please share my message with your family. They are in my heart and in my thoughts also.

Thank you in advance!!

AS a learner, this is my hunble attempt, surely others can improve upon it :-

Size ve aileniza Iyi Kurban Bayramlar istiyorum.  Hayalarimde [düþümlerimde] tek sensin.  Lutfen, bu mesajim ailenizle de paylaþtirin.  Onlar da benim düþüncem var.

This is a very ´book like´  translation, there must be better more clourful way of expressing these sentiments.  I will watch for these.

After reading the exchanges ... I am confused whom to actually thank.  I think it is ´dlliduduk´ !! In any even, I greatly appreciate corrections like these .... they are an excellent way of improving and refining the language skill.  problem for ´us´ [non Turkish speakers] is that we have to go through a process of translation almost ´word by word´ ... this leads to ´mayopia´ >> missing out the big picture.

Thank you ... whoever.

My birthday is on 25th of May.

I am not jealous, maybe a little bit.

I am designer (designer of building contruction) and we have a big project now, so I have a lot of work, consequently I don´t have free time. My job takes very big part of my life. But when I have my free time I like read books, riding and travelling very much.

What do you do in Istanbul now?

Thanks

As a learner of the language, this is my try.  Any comments to improve are most welcome.

Sorry, I left this bit out:-

>SENÝN BANA PARA VE HEDÝYE GÖNDERMEN ÖNEMLÝ DEÐÝL.DÜÞÜNMEN YETERLÝ.TEÞEKKÜR EDERÝM.
ÇOK ÝYÝ BÝR DOSTSUN.KÝB.<

Translation:  Your sending me money and presents is not important.  Your consideration is sufficient. I wish to thank you.  You are a wonderful friend. KIB [?!]
