I suffer from ´dyslexia´ >> which can be very embarrassing in written communication.

I meant ´Hasret´ and duygu ... instead of ´haset´ and ´dugy´.

As for your question ... insallah ...  has already explained it very adequately.  A very a tiny difference [the size of a hair´s thickness], merely a semantic difference, a difference not worth mentioning > but if someone starts arguing about it is said to be , ´like trying to split a hair´.

I wish my Turkish were as good as your English.

I wish to express the following:-

English: ´This envy is not a feeling only connected with the past [times].´

Turkish (1): ´Bu hasret sadece geçmiþ olan zaman ait bir dugy deðildir.´

or

Turkish (2): ´Bu hasret sadece geçmiþ zamana ait olan bir duygu deðildir.´

My question: Is there any significant difference between (1) & (2) above? Or will it be splitting hairs?

As one learner to another, please note:

Cam = pane of glass

Pencere = window

 Melek74 is right.  It is helpful for a beginner but rather limited in scope.  It provides conjugation of commonly used verbs, various moods and tenses, in alphabetical order.  It is reassuring to have it, but that is about all. 

My copy is almost in new condition and if someone wishes to buy it at half price+postage, I will part with it, as I am past the stage.

I am not entirely clear about the use of  ´-digi gibi´ >

Sometimes it seems to mean ´Just as ...´  while sometimes it seems to mean ´As soon as ...´?

For example:

1) Yaðmur yaðmadiði gibi, guneþ de açmadi >  Just as it was not raining, the sun was also not shining.  

2) Haberi aldigi gibi yola çýktý > As soon as [the person] received the news, he/she began the journey.

[I suppose one could say: He/she began the journey, just as the person received the news] > but ´Just as ...´ in the first sentence means ´comaprison, likeness in shape/condition´.  While in the second sentence it means ´as soon as´ or coincidence of time.

In some text books, ´-digi gibi´ is explicitly defined to mean ´AS SOON AS´.

In my own head, I can´t get rid of the idea of ´Likeness of shape/condition´ because of ´GIBI´, like in> Odun gibi, onun gibi, kahve gibi, soylediðini gibi, bildiðini gibi etc.

Please clarify ... or is it a matter of colloquial usage ... and one simply has to accept it?

 SweetKisses and Ahmetemin have done their bit excellently.  I have taken their lead and tried to modify [by way of improving my own language]:-

I find handling sentences with phrases like ´you yourself´ difficult to handle and have to think a lot.  I am still not sure if I have been able to achieve ´economy´ of words to render the translation colloquial.  And it took me a long time to even do this much.  It has been a great help.  My vowel harmony is right out of the window, I know this much.
