How come we are forced to be so sensitive when discussing the PKK, Ataturk, Article 301, Armenian Genocide and many other issues regarding Turkey. But when it comes to the west, I have to endure support to Bid Laden, Bush bashing, Native American Genocide and criticism after criticism over the Iraqi War. You mention one negative thing about radical islamists, or topics mention above, we resort to changing the rules. You can´t change the rules as you go, you must establish them in the first place. Of course not everyone will be content, but at least you have set the foundation for what is expected. If you keep changing what is acceptable and what isn´t it results to chaos and disorder.
I understand this is a Turkish Language site, but if it´s meant to be a visitors burea and everything should be positive and glorified to attract visitors to Turkey, you may want to remove the General/Off Topic and get sponsorship from the Turkish government. I would imagine most people coming to this site to learn about Turkey are foreigners. So shouldn´t this site be more open-minded to catering to us, rather than to Turks who should already know their history & language. It just appears everytime we make changes here, it´s due to appeasing others because their offended. No matter how hard you try, someone will always take offense to something. I think it´s a no win situation.
İ agree with you,that most people who comes to this site to learn about Türkiye are foreigners,and who do this,who offer he information that we seek are the TURKS
Who offer translations,who offer personal experience,who give advice...etc that kind of things which you dont find in books nor google,thats why we come to site like this.
So you think that the site should be more open-minded to catering to us, rather than to Turks
And not taking Turks into considerations ? the one who offer the information and teach us about history,cultural and language?!

And also if you review the other opinions,you would see that we almost see things same too,from same angle,but one that is DİFFERENT than yours.

That we have different measures than each other,we take things differently,we can be highly offended by things you may see them normal.
We put some things in highly positions,give them the ultimate respect ,at same time you dont think same about them...etc
So we are different...you cant measure us according to your rules,and also we cantdo same thing according to ours!
So actually i dont think its logic to offend someone and ask for his help later...dont you think ?
As for Bush/İraq/US politics...etc its different story,you interfere in our affairs,invade our lands,and you dont want us to have a saying about it?!
