Im sorry for not using Turkish characters by the way, at home I have a turkish keyboard, but here at work.. Im too lazy to use the special field

Anyway, I am out of this discussion. Talking to Adonis is talking to a deaf man's ears. I can understand he does not believe my observations, as he was raised not to critisize. But..he does not believe I read it, nor does he think I speak Turkish Iste, talking to a deaf man's ears.

Have a nice day Adonis.

Quoting adonis:

I hope DK will read a book in advance to make discussion about it with the people whether a painting book or a basic reading book.

you have to learn Turkish as soon as possible too.

what did Yunus Emre say:

"İlim ilim bilmektir
İlim kendin bilmektir
Sen kendin bilmezsin
Ya nice okumaktır..."

Daha once de soylemistim, o kitabi okudum. Kutuphaneden almistim, simdi kendime almak istiyorum. Nereden cikardin, okumadigimi?

Turkceyi biliyorum. Osmanlicam daha yetmez, Nutuk eski dilinde okuyabilmek icin. Kusura bakma, ama sonucta senin gibi dogumdan beri turkceyi konusmadim.

Yunus Emre de harika bir yazar

(As I have said before, I read that book. I took it from the library, now I want to buy it for mysef. Where did you get the idea from that I didnt read it? I know Turkish. I dont know enough Osmanlica yet, to read Nutuk in its old language. I am sorry, but after all I didnt speak Turkish since I was born).

Apparantly you havent got enough knowledge yourself. You keep quoting other people. Or are you jsut showing off all that you have read?

Well done...

?

I never said he wasn't. I dont think that Ataturk was kusursuz, he was not. His leadership wasnt all peaceful, it included bloodshed too. But he did something great for his country and he is one of the best leaders the world has ever known!

Quoting caliptrix:

Off-topic; "bilgi sahibi olmadan fikir sahibi olmak" is a Turkish expression. Not only his word

Thanks I think it is universal. Adonis just reads with coloured glasses in coloured books.

We all do. The point is to realize one does!

never make comments about a book without reading it in advance, okay?

So you are saying it is impossible to read a book, if you dont buy it? As I have said before, I took it from library Now I want to buy it. Because as I have said before, most of it is true and it is a pleasure to read the thoughts of a great leader. I have to agree with Janis, he surely was an outstanding leader!

I read that book I took it from the university library. But I want to have it at home too, as I think it is an important book. And I read it in cagdas Turkce, translated by Zeynep Korkmaz, not in the Turkish Ataturk wrote, as that is too difficult for me to read, since it looks like Osmanlica too much for me to understand.

Dk..

Shared joy is double joy

Though I dont agree with you at all, and assure you that what I said is truth, it was my pleasure to discuss this with you! First thing that I will buy when I go to Turkey next week, will be Nutuk! (and Latife Hanim by Ipek Calislar!)

Quoting vineyards:

Are we all innocent? What is innocence in the first place?

I think you cant answer, nor ask, such a question. As you say, what is innocence? By naming something innocent, you mean that the contrast is guilt. (I am talking here about sexual feelings as generally accepted to be 'normal'..)

Thehandsom, are you ok with it that I post this poem with your (both) translation in the poetry section? I think it is lovely.
