Teşekkürler is more like "thanks."

You will also hear mersi used.

 

 "Mersi" its not pornounced like in french. İ only heard it said " çok mersi" ..never alone.

Presumably the original sentence was sent in Turkish to be translated into English not for the Turkish to be corrected, so I therefore think the translation of this was correct.

 

(BTW-´amissly´ is a word I have never heard used in English. ´incorrectly´ would be better.)

    But if someone offers you something and you want to refuse you say teşekkürler meaning no, thanks.
