Palin: wrong woman, wrong message

Sarah Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Hillary Clinton. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger.

This film is the story of the first man to fly. It was in the 17th Century during the reign of Murat IV, a period of ottoman history when there was much bloodshed that Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi flew from Europe to Asia over the Bosporus on wings of his own making. Istanbul beneath My Wings, using the story of this flight as a vehicle, describes the conflict between individual freedom and authority, between those who desire to make progress towards civilization and those in positions of authority who resist all innovation and development. Hezarfen has managed to get his hands on Leonardo da Vinci´s drawings relating to human flight. In order to decode Leonardo´s coded instructions, Hezarfen takes the owner of manuscript, an Italian slave girl, into his home. Nothing can stand in front of the universality of love and knowledge.

`HAPPINESS WILL WARM THE BIRDS TOO´

It is most unfortunate that no new bird houses are
being built while many of those that have survived are
facing ruin today. Let alone doing something extra for
the birds, sometimes we even interfere with the
habitats that nature provides them. Or are we simply
becoming more and more self-centered? Anyway, the
tradition of buying a bag of birdseed from one of the
vendors around the New Mosque is alive and well today.

Let us conclude with a few lines from Mehmet Zaman
Sacliolu´s poem, `Bird Houses´, which we hope will fill
your heart and the hearts of the birds with happiness:
"The outer walls of houses should be bird houses / That
take wing when children laugh. / Even if it´s winter
outside / The summer sun should rise inside the walls /
And happiness will warm the birds too."

How many of us have fleetingly yearned to take wing and
fly like the birds? How many have dreamed of touring
the world from end to end like them on beating wing?

Was not this dream behind the airplane in which you are
sitting at this very moment? What inspired Hezarfen
Ahmed Celebi, who, leaping into the void one morning in
view of all Istanbul, flew from the Galata Tower to
Uskudar across the Bosphorus, thus going down in
history as the first person in the world to fly? Surely
it was the birds.

I would take your wife´s advise and go to the Princess Islands. You will encounter more expenses in the long run  if you travel to the Mediterrainian  coast. On the other hand if you love swimming than go to Fetiye.

Well, isn´t this something!

Protesting their husbands´ indifference to an ongoing water shortage, the women of a Mediterranean village have barred their husbands from the bedroom.
