Of course, there were a lot of  great leaders in the world history.

But we have never seen a great and wise leader like Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK.Bu Büyük Ýnsanýn Ruhu Þad Olsun.

My admiration to Ataturk is deeply rooted by my father but also by the fact that he saved Turkey from partition and made her a republic with his excellent visions of how country should be organised.

Quoting TheJanissary

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side now here in this country of ours... you, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land. They have become our sons as well.

1934...

Only a great man could say such words,a man who appreciated bravery, courage and understood the zeal of fight.Turks have always admired the bravery of their enemies, such unusual thing .Ataturk was a great man,one of the greatest leader in world´s history. I grew up with him as my father was an admirer of Ataturk, instead of fairy tales for goodnight I heard Turkish history,Ataturk teaching and world history as well.Good post Janissary))

Hello everyone,

Here is a small post from a new user of the website. I came across the expression ´Kendine gel´, and its translation.....could it possibly mean something like ´get to your senses!´?

Thanks in advance for any help, it will be welcome.
