Thread: 3 children? Getting difficult to have

I don´t know how true this is but I remember it had been discussed in europe that the presence of female hormones (coming from the birth control pills) in drinking water can affect men fertility as it has already caused some fish to change their sex.

How can you be sure that it has been posted for you if she posted it on a friend´s wall? don´t try to get clues over everything she posts, you can never be sure, on the contrary it can confuse you in a bad way. if you can meet her, try to see things first in her eyes, try to pass time with her and get close to her, and if you are brave enough, start talking about you like being around her etc.

Ben, seninle ilgili hiçbir konuda, ´´keşke´´ demedim. Sen benim bütün "iyiki"lerimin sahibisin !

This means that:

She has never regretted anything about you (like she wished she has not ever you), in the contrary, she has always been happy of all the things spent with you (like she is happy that she has met you, has loved you, has talked to you etc).

What do you mean gokuyum? Do you mean that all fat, tanned, hairy men with a big moustache are bears??? This is judging a book by its cover. Wink

Some other examples you can encounter:

"bir kutu çikolata"= a box of chocolate

"bir şişe süt"= a bottle of milk

"bir dilim ekmek"= a slice of bread

Quoting edraganov

Hello!

Can anyone help me with this specific doubt I have?

I am studying turkish adjectives and read that they must always come before the noun, except of course in the cases where they act as the main clause of the whole sentence.

Ex:

Regular: Pretty Girl
Main Clause: The Girl is Pretty

However I became a little bit confused when read two specific sentences:

1 - Ver bana fincan su (Give me a glass of water)
2 - Titanic bir yolcu gemisiyd (Titanic was a passenger ship)

Why in the first sentence the writer used "fincan su" instead of "su fincan"?

In the second one the general adjective rule seems to be correctly applied, since yolcu (passengers) is qualifying gemisi (ship).

Thank you!
Erik Draganov

1. First of all "fincan" is "cup", "glass" is "bardak"

Bana bir bardak su ver.

"Bir bardak" is a quantity just like in "bir elma"= "an apple", therefore, it quantifies/qualifies the noun that comes after it, which is "su".

For my part, I can explain it like that.

I don´t understand why we should prove someone that we are beautiful. let us be not beautiful. What if someone is ugly? why should it even matter? noone can determine his/her physical appearance. Should that person be ashamed of his/her looking? does he/she need to excuse? just being clean should be our responsibility.

Yes, there are ugly turkish women and men. so what? do we need to excuse for them?

Thus, please let´s stop this childish, immature conversation.

"Bir deli kuyuya taş atmış, kırk akıllı çıkaramamış"

This is a turkish proverb.

I was not an understanding boy. I always wanted the fancy things that other kids had

me too, when I was very young, I asked for everything I saw when I was out walking around with my mother. Everthing because I used to thinnk that if I asked for more, I would have more chances to get at least one

And when she said that she does not have money, I would tell her "Then go to the bank to get some, there are lots there!"{#emotions_dlg.wtf}
