Syntactically, there must be two bir şey´s.

1. ´a thing´  -  a usual noun. You can see it take the accusative ending but in that case bir should probably be interpreted as a numeral:

                     Bir şeyi de bil.

                     Bir arkadaşı bekliyor.

2. ´something´  -  an indefinite pronoun. Cannot be definite (and take accusative ending) of course because of its meaning. bir is no longer understood as an article but a part of that word. That is why in this meaning you very often find it written as one word. And there can be an indefinite article and plural ending in the same phrase like

                     Bir şeyler yazmalıyım.

I am just speculating. Correct me.

yes, I think it is something like that.

Hi.. I need some urgent help and want to make sure I get it right... so I turn to you for assistance! Can someone please translate the follows:

I don´t know why things are like this. This is not my husband. He has not been like this. He was wonderful. He was not mean. He did not say horrible things. He was a good husband and I was a good wife.

I have always done everything I can to take care of him. Everything he needs. Everything he asks.If his heart wanted it I gave it to him. But now I can do nothing right. Every day becomes worse.

My heart is breaking. Where did my Fuat go? I miss my husband.

Should I retire?

yep, maybe gokuyum.

People should retire one day when they ask this question to themselves.

Yarvik you are an asshole and this is not because you are autistic. You willingly misinterpret what I say. This is your character. I have no business with you anymore.

"asshole" is a very bad word {#emotions_dlg.wtf}

Now, whatever you will say about yourself will be falsified because of this.

Exceptional or not they are accusative

I do accept that they are accusative. That is why I call them exceptions

Then you had better say  What is the name of this phenomenon ? for your ´question´

If you make such a point of correcting others ... Name of this phenomenon?

There is already a question mark. so, it is necessarily a question

Anyway, I think by talking about yourself, you already showed that you do not have any bad intentions. Sometimes people complain just to complain.

Do not take these attacks very personally also because that is nothing compared to what I have seen on this site in the past. This is usual here that people quarrel with each other for usually nothing. This is a cyber place, thus, it is very easy to judge people. All of us do it from time to time.

You also corrected my english when I answered your questions regarding turkish language. first I was a bit disturbed but then seeing your other posts, I understood that this is your way. I saw that you were very concentrated on languages and mistakes concerning language. You like teaching and learning mutually.

As we are on a language site, I found it normal and I do not expect a "thank you" after every time I answer a question. Because it was not asked from me personally and if I take the time to give a reply, it is my choice and that is why I am on this site.

If we look for faults in people, it is easy. But we have to see the intentions. a black dot should not color all the white we have.

Look meltem we dont lynch him.We helped him a lot.

I just think that he explained the reason that may be behind his attitude and for this his "wrong" attitudes if any deserve to be more tolerated.

and I hate people who use their "conditions" as excuses.

if he knows it is wrong and blame autism with a long winded explination then he should be able to avoid said situations.

there are some conditions that can pass as an excuse for doing or not doing something.

Knowing that doing something is wrong does not necessarily prevent you doing something: like people who suffer from kleptomania. they know that stealing is bad but it does not prevent them from stealing.
