Hmm, I think it is better to keep the private messaging more like e-mails to keep the privacy of the recipient. Does anyone have a preference on this?

Keeping it like e-mails? E-mails offer that possibility, don´t they? (At least mine does, not Hotmail no, but my account from my provider does.)

If you edit a post of a long time ago, the thread of edited post should be displayed in latest threads list.

Scenario:

You edit your one year old post in an inactive thread. How would others know about this edit?

it was possible to do so. and i had a nightmare finding old posts of some members to quote that were silently and quickly modifed.

but now i think it is a great idea to display the reason and time of modification.

Maybe you should upgrade the forum motor, because it is a bit old. The new Bulletin type forums have so many extra funcions what could be useful here too.

When we add comments to columnists or essays I see our avatar is included. I also notice some people have avatars that are different to the selection offered on this site. Is there a way of adding your own avatar, or is this only available to a select few? Smile

I have bought a new ~51cm wide monitor and the pages are displayed in the center as  ~24cm wide only.

Wikipedia for example nicely fills all the screen width.

Wouldn´t it possible here?
