Very interesting post.

Scientifically shown here, is that Istanbul is not the best place to visit, if your intention is to get yourself murdered - during your next vacation.

You will have an obviously better chance in New York or Los Angeles. Istanbul murderes suck !

You want to spoil my next vacation? What is on your mind?

Britain named as one of Europe's crime hotspots
· Survey finds highest rate of burglary in the EU
· Assaults and hate crime also near top of league

Britain has the highest rate of burglary in the European Union and is also nearly top of the league for assaults and hate crime, according to a recent survey.
The EU crime and safety survey names the UK as a "high crime country" and says the risk of becoming a victim of the 10 most common crimes is, with the exception of Ireland, the highest across the European Union.

London also emerges as the "crime capital of Europe" with the likelihood of becoming a victim - mostly of a range of petty crimes - said to be higher than all other EU capitals and even higher than cities such as Istanbul and New York. (The Guardian)

I thought New York was very safe now actually. I think London is probably not a good place to be, but even there I never feel unsafe walking around, unlike some places I have been to

I was only trying to help those who wish to get murdered...
Have a look at following figures from Roswitha's link...

"For example...in the 1994 Interpol Statistical Year, there were 251 murders committed in Istanbul -- including sensationally-reported 'terrorist' killings. In Chicago the number was 1027, in LA it was 1556, and New York it was 2202. In the same year there were 197,148 reported robberies in Tokyo; 152,968 in Rome; 11,747 in Istanbul. Also in the same year there were 963 reported rapes in Vienna, 856 in Tokyo, and 41 in Istanbul..."

I have different destinations to recommend, if you prefer something else...

Considering Turkey has the least life expectancy 71.2 and mortality rates more than any nation, I could see why this emergency kit could be helpful..
