Partner, I do feel a sense of injustice when average, middle aged, American housewives, with a son in college. refer to elusive items like European thongs.
Have you nothing to say about US thong bikinis?

I think Alpha is really an 'average American housewife' in disguise.

You are so funny, Alpha. Middleaged and housewife? Maybe in Turkey I'm considered Middleaged, since the average longevity is 71. Not sure where you got your information, however you are wrong.
US thong bikinis? They are very appropriate as long as you have the body for them. Some people in the U.S. could stand to have a cloth wrapped around them, from head to toe.

I am surprised to see the UK in that list. I have never heard of compulsory seizing of property here. Usually an "offer they cannot refuse" is made
However, an interesting situation has occured in Portsmouth where a new road is planned. Residents were offered a substantial sum of money for their properties and everyone accepted except one house (my friend's parents!). The road has been constructed and the houses demolished until half way along. Then, the road ends suddenly at my friend's parents house!!!! Presumably they will just wait until their death, make an offer to the children of the couple, and then continue with the road until it reaches it's destination!

I don't ever recall stating I was a housewife and middleaged. I do have a son in college.. I believe you have to be married and stay at home to be a housewife...
